Race Rules

Nordic Chase 2026 - Copenhagen to Oslo

(Road & Gravel Editions)

    • You are responsible for all gear, food, water, accommodation and repairs.

    • No outside assistance from friends, family, or support vehicles.

    • Only commercial services (available to all) may be used (e.g. super markets, hotels).

    • Accommodation bookings along the route are only allowed after the official race manual has been released (three weeks before the race start), as the manual contains the final, official race route. Booking accommodations in advance before the start date is allowed to reduce costs, and booking during the race is obviously also permitted, offering greater flexibility.

    • Drafting is allowed, but only in pairs of maximum 2 riders. Larger groups are not permitted for safety reasons. We encourage riding with another participant because it makes the Nordic Chase more social.

    • Riding pairs must maintain separation from others: no pelotons may form. When riding with a partner, keep at least 12 meters distance from other riders.

    • Don’t litter. Carry trash to the next bin or resupply point.

    • Respect landscapes, wildlife, and local communities.

    • Ride responsibly around other riders, vehicles, and pedestrians.

    • You may temporarily leave for resupply, rest, or sightseeing, but return to the exact point you left.

    • In the event of road interruptions or closures, riders are responsible for finding an alternate route to bypass the interruption and rejoin the official route.

    • The provided GPS tracker must be carried by the rider at all times.

    • Participants are responsible for keeping the GPS tracker functional and sufficiently charged throughout the event.

    • Rankings are based on total elapsed time from start to finish, including all stops

    • Participants must have a liability, death, accident and health insurance covering emergency rescue, medical expenses and repatriation, valid for the event’s duration.

    • A copy of your insurance will be asked before the event.

However, you may bring your bike box to the rider briefing, where we can securely store it at the Go Nordic Cruiseline terminal. After finishing the race, you can take the ferry back to Copenhagen with us, and from there you can pick up your bike box again.

However, accommodation bookings along the route are only recommended after the official race manual has been released (three weeks before the race start), as the manual contains the final, official race route.
